Weekly Wrap Up 9-28

I seen this on another blog where they post what's going on every week at their homeschool. Sage says ours is Thompson School and her dad is her Principal.

English - This week Sage got a 81% on her spelling test. Not bad as some words are hard to spell, but I am using spelling lists from K12 Reader for second graders. We worked on stretching sentences, nouns and verbs. Also working on penmanship.

Math - Fractions are EVIL, that's all I have to say this week! And we worked on writing money amounts.

Science - Starting a journey on learning about volcano's! In the next week or so we will be building one of our own.

History - The Greek Gods again and a little history of the Conrad Buffalo Ranch that was near here. Soon we will be taking a trip to the Conrad Mansion to learn about it. We went when she was about 3, but she doesn't remember

Reading - Sage reads books from the library, books she has and books on her kindle. She also has been reading from her new bible.

A trip to the mountains to grouse hunt was our field trip for the week. She got to help her dad clean a grouse, the highlight of her day. She is a Montana girl!

We took a trip to the library and got some new books to read that we had requested.  And Sage went to Awanas for the second time Wednesday night. She was scared to death when she got there and we got her signed up. When I went to go pick her up to come home she didn't want to leave. And she had memorized John 3:16.

No pictures this week, I was bad. I will try to start remembering taking them for fun things we do.

Till next week..........
