New Year’s Resolutions... We all have them!

We all have New Years resolutions. It can be to lose weight, get more active, eat better, make more money, be more positive, or clean the clutter.

What are some of your? I only have a few this year that I plan on sticking to. One is to get healthier. I can't see myself losing all the weight I know I need to in the first 6 months so I am making small goals. Along with losing weight for me is eatting better, and actually exercising. While I'm not one for a gym membership, or lets face it walking or running, we do have a wii. We have 4 or 5 wii dance games, a few exercise ones, and if I'm desperate I can dig out the ol' 30 Day Shred. There is many programs out there to help you lose weight. I'm not a pill person, nor do I have a extra $60-$100 a month to spend on shakes. My goal is to do it the heathly way. Yes the weight isn't going to fall off fast, but my pocket book says there is no extra money to buy anything weight loss.

I personally use My Fitness Pal or there is SparkPeople and My Calorie Counter. Pick one, dable in all 3, find the one that works for you. If you do use My Fitness Pal send me a message and I'll gladly add you. I have found that losing weight is easier with others, even online with people I've never met in person. Sometimes just being able to say opps I slipped and am getting back on track is what you need.

Another one of mine is making a menu. It can be as easy as just schudling dinner on the calendar or you can print out one out. $5 Dinners has not only printable grocery lists and menus you can use, but awesome recipes as well. Making a menu in the past has saved us money grocery shopping, and also helped know what's planned for dinner. For expample tonight is Chicken Enchaldias, even though I still need to throw the chicken in the crockpot. You can also do freezer meals! Pick a day each week or month and prep as much as you can, freeze, pull a day or two before and easy meal almost all done except for maybe cooking or adding a few things. Makes nights where the kids have sports, meetings or your working late a lot easier.

Clutter....... Is my middle name, hate it but can't seem to escape it. We moved from a 600 sq ft house with one bedroom and a basement for storage to a trailer with 2 bedrooms (yay somewhere to put Sage's stuff) with no basement. And best part its about 50 sq more than the house. I'm slowly working on it, getting rid of stuff, selling on online garage sales, throwing stuff out or trips the second hand stores to donate things. We also homeschool so that adds to the "clutter" with school things. Shelfs will be built before long to help with all this. Oh and to get my computer off the kitchen table so we can actually eat at it.

What ever your resolutions are write them down, take one step at a time so you don't overwhelm yourself. Ask for help if needed, one of my biggest things - asking for help. Although my niece did come help me clean and declutter last week, she made a little cash, and for me it was worth it.

Here's to a great 2014!

If you have any suggestions, comments or anything else please leave them below. I'd love to hear from you.
