English or language as some call it we have been working on learning about Tall Tales the last few weeks. I found a packet on Education.com that was all about Tall Tales, including Paul Bunyan, Captain Stormalong and more. Sage did awesome on her spelling test and only missed one word. She got a 93%.
Math - This week in math we worked on rounding numbers to the nearest one place or tens place. Sage was so exited when it finally clicked on how to round them. I love seeing her exited about learning.
Science - We finished up science this week with Sage making a model of the solar system. She did 95% of the project herself. Below is a picture of her solar system. She also learned about different animal tracks. Now to go on a hike and see if we can find any tracks!
History - The Greek Gods was this week's history project. Sage had fun reading about them and coloring pictures and seeing what they were god of. Sage also got a new Little Passport's package in the mail. This month she traveled to Brazil. Next month? She hasn't figured that out yet, but mom knows we are going to Japan!
Cooking - Sage loves to help cook, I'm thinking once a week letting her make lunch or dinner, easy stuff that she can do mostly herself. Do you have any kid friendly recipes to share?
We took a trip to the library and got some new books to read. We also went to the second hand store and got new books as they were having a BOGO free sale and kids books are only $.25 there!
Sage went to Awanas for the first time Wednesday night. Looks like our wednesdays are going to be busy! Girl Scouts should be starting soon to add to our schedule.
Till next week..........
